At Girls on the Run, we believe that running and being healthy can transform you! We want all girls to get active, be healthy, make positive choices and feel great about herself. By contributing to Girls on the Run, you can help to make that happen! Each donation will help us bring the program to girls who, due to financial hardships, would otherwise not be able to participate in Girls on the Run. Too many girls today are not physically or emotionally healthy, happy or confident about her ability to succeed in life. The truth is:
Many of these trends can be attributed to a lack of a healthy lifestyle, including a lack of exercise, positive choices, self-respect and related healthy living education. We're out to change all of that! At GOTR, we know that simply running, moving and being active during her growing up years can significantly reduce a girl's risk for many unhealthy conditions and diseases. We also know that teaching girls valuable life lessons and building their self-esteem is the best complement to physical activity and the best way to help girls secure happy, healthy and successful lives.
